Mechanical overhauls & repairs:
We offer a complete range of mechanical options including:
- Engines: Full reconditioning service on all engines using a range of tested top quality parts; cylinder head rebuilds including skimming, valve grinds & new valve seating, installation of performance camshafts, re-profiling of head including porting; performance upgrades can include lightening of major parts, strengthening treatments to crank & rods, etc.
- Transmission & gearbox: We can replace gearbox synchro rings or gears, undertake full rebuilds; overhaul transmissions & undertake set up.
- Suspension: We can carry out any suspension repairs including wheel alignment; performance upgrades available can involve uprated coil springs, shockabsorbers & suspension bushes & joints, balancing to your required set-up.
- Brakes: Brake repairs & testing; performance upgrades can involve fitting quality performance replacement discs & pads up to new repositioned braking systems. We specialise in remanufacturing brake callipers, pistons, handbrake mechanisms & seals including handbrake mechanisma for Elan & vented brake discs for Esprit, Excel, Elite, Eclat & Lotus Sunbeam.
We can use a range of parts from genuine & aftermarket, performance alternatives, and our own fully waranteed reconditioned parts including starter motors, alternators, clutch & gearbox, all subject to full after sales back up.
- Electronics: We have experience and a great success rate in solving & diagnosing the most difficult ECU & ignition issues; we can also fit & re-map Lumenition fuel injection kits to increase power output.
- Bodyshop: Our access to fully equipped dedicated Lotus bodyshop facilities mean can carry out minor touch ups to full resprays, accident damage repairs from minor damage upwards; major chassis structural reconditioning and fabrication to customer specifications. We have our own chassis jigs.
- Conversions: We can carry out any conversion you may require and tailor it to comply with road homologation regulations. This can include left and right hand drive alterations to upgraded different layout engine and transmission package.
- Race car preparation: Full preparation to any specification or standard required; from road car supplied we can assist with all aspects including performance engine & mechanical work, chassis fabrication, roll protection cages, re-mapping of electronics. We have huge experience in this area with PNM assisted and developed cars running in many types of competition.
